Why do chakras need balancing and healing?
Many things impact on the chakras. They often need cleansing and balancing individually, and with each other, to function at their best. When they are functioning well, so are we.
The chakras well-being is essential for every aspect of our well-being: energetic, physical, emotional, mental, relationships and spiritual. Every chakra is connected to our important endocrine system. Well-being in the chakras improves our health and our lives.
A chakra can be blocked, (deficient) with very little energy flowing through it. It cannot take in the ‘Chi/Ki from outside that we need. The activity associated with that chakra will also be blocked. For example, a blocked first chakra may block the flow of energy into health, or into family etc.
A chakra can be blocked (excessive) and cannot let the energy flow out. For example, an excessive first chakra may not be able to let possessions go, and may hoard. The first chakra issues will come to dominate your life.
A chakra can be both deficient and excessive at the same time. It is out of balance with itself. If a chakra is excessive or deficient, it will block the central flow of energy meant to run freely up and down the body.
What are chakras?
The word chakra comes from the ancient yoga systems of India. This translates from the Sanskrit as a ‘wheel’ or ‘disk’. They can be seen with inner vision as spinning discs of light radiating from nerves in the central spinal column.
To see our chakras is to see ourselves as standing rainbows of colour and beauty.
We have seven major chakras, running along the midline of our body from the base of our spine to the top of our head. These are not visible with the physical eye, but with inner vision they can be seen as spinning discs of light, each in the particular colour of that chakra’s energy. We have minor chakras in our joints and many more in our auric fields but the major seven chakras lie in our etheric level of the aura and run through the physical body from front to back.
A chakra’s spin-in brings in nourishing universal energy to our aura and physical body, and the spin- out is usually cleansing energies.
