HEALING OLDER BRAIN INJURIES FOR ADULTS
When the brain has been hurt by a severe impact upon the head, cranial bones can jam and remain painful unless
released. Areas deep in the brain can still be holding coma injuries if there has been a period of coma at the time of an accident. This energy can be released for the brain to feel and function better.
Often areas in the brain can still be holding traumatic memory which needs to be released. This memory can be released as energy only, without any traumatic remembering. The brain may still be holding stress and tension patterns from the time of an accident. These can be rebalanced gently over time allowing the brain to feel more comfortable.
Once there has been treatment and a settling of change, it can be useful to assess whether additional sessions to build on the previous one would be beneficial. An interval to allow the changes to go through and settle is usually recommended. Sometimes changes will even continue over weeks or even months. Working in with the timing of the brain’s healing is helpful. Sometimes it needs to be active; sometimes it needs to rest.
